A Christmas Carol

Fezziwigs

As part of its outreach programme, Front of House Theatre Company worked alongside local food bank, Central Southwark Community Hub to produce a brand new, modern re-telling of Charles Dickens’ classic tale, A Christmas Carol for the 2017 festive season.

Edwina Scrooge is the tyrannical manager at Fezziwig’s Supermarket, where she torments customers and staff alike. This Christmas Eve however, she will be haunted by three ghostly visitors who show her the consequences of her selfish actions. Will she see the error of her ways? Or will she be doomed forever more?

Accompanied by loyal shelf-stacker, Tim Cratchit and a host of colourful characters, the performance will be interactive, family friendly, and culminate in a Christmas meal for all guests.

Central Southwark Community Hub (CSCH) is a food bank that uses food donated by the local community, and partners with frontline professionals who refer local residents to their services. Not only do they provide food bank services, they also offer financial support; education and training; holiday cubs; and a community café.
